Bullstown Solar is under the RESS or Renewable Electricity Support Scheme, which is a government initiative in Ireland that provides financial support to renewable electricity projects.  The scheme operates through a series of auctions where developers can bid for contracts to sell their generated electricity at a guaranteed price for 15 years. 

All RESS projects are required to establish a Community Benefit Fund, with a contribution of €2 per Megawatt hour of generation, to support local economic, environmental, social, and cultural initiatives. To read further information please visit this link https://www.seai.ie/grants/community-grants/community-benefit-funds.
